The service

RacePalm is a platform for creating and managing sim-racing series and races. A platform subscription gives an account the right to create and manage its own series and races. Taking part in a series as a driver is free and never requires a subscription.

The RacePalm service is provided by Johannes Vahala. Subscription payments are handled separately by Sorsa Dynamics Oy, acting solely as the payment-handling entity through the payment provider Stripe. Sorsa Dynamics Oy is responsible only for processing subscription payments and bears no responsibility for the RacePalm service itself in any other respect.

Subscriptions and billing

The subscription is offered as a monthly plan (9,99 € per month) or a yearly plan (29,99 € per year). Prices are in euros and include Finnish VAT. If you can't or don't want to pay for the service but still try it out, reach out to me in Discord.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. Subscription payments are handled through Stripe by Sorsa Dynamics Oy as described above; your full card details are handled by Stripe and are never received or stored by us.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the Manage subscription link on your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep full subscriber access until then, and you are not charged again.

Series and races you have created remain yours after your subscription ends. Without an active subscription you can no longer create new ones, but cancelling does not delete your existing content or its data.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

The subscription is a digital service. By starting it you expressly request that the service begins immediately and acknowledge that this affects your right of withdrawal.

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you subscribe. If you withdraw within that period, we refund what you have paid, minus an amount proportional to the service already provided to you up to the moment you notify us. To withdraw, contact us by email within 14 days of subscribing.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content of the series and races you create (names, rules, descriptions and similar) and for how you handle the personal data of the participants who register to them — see the privacy policy for the platform's role.

You may not use the platform for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms the service or other users. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms, the law, or abuses the platform.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service available and working, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer under Finnish law. Subject to those rights, our liability for the paid service is limited to the amount you have paid for it over the preceding 12 months.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, you may as a consumer refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Service (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will announce material changes on the platform before they take effect. Continuing to use a paid subscription after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you can cancel as described above.
