This privacy policy describes how personal data related to the RacePalm platform is collected and processed. Personal data is information that, alone or combined with other data, identifies a natural person.

Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 years of age.

What personal data do we collect?

When registering for the race, we collect the following data:

• Team name and iRacing Team ID
• Car number and series class (WMEC or Open)
• Team logo (optional)
• Drivers' names, email addresses and iRacing IDs
• Drivers' bio texts (optional)
• Google account email address and user ID, if you sign in with Google to gain edit access to your registration
• Registration time

Purpose of data use

The collected data is used for:

• Organizing the race and managing participants
• Maintaining the public participant list on the race website
• Informing participants about race-related matters

Public data

The participant list — team name, car number and class — is public information and visible to everyone on the race website. Drivers' private details (email, iRacing ID) are not shown in the public listing.

Data retention

Data is stored in Firebase Firestore (Google LLC), located within the EU or under GDPR-compliant data-transfer agreements. Data is deleted three (3) years after the race, unless deleted earlier at your request.

Data disclosure

Data is not sold or disclosed to third parties, nor used for marketing purposes.

Rights of the data subject

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2016/679), you have the right to:

• Access the content of the data collected (right of access)
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to the processing of data
• Request transfer of your data in a machine-readable format
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi)

Data breaches

In the event of a data breach, we will notify the affected individuals by email within ten (10) business days.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Material changes will be announced on the race website or Discord channel.
